Iraqi Government Launches Tax Name Similarity Inquiry Service via “Ur” Digital Platform
In a historic step aimed at facilitating tax procedures and providing more efficient services to citizens, the Iraqi government has launched a tax name similarity inquiry service for citizens through the “Ur” digital platform, for the first time in Iraq’s history.
This service is an important step toward enhancing transparency and facilitating interactions between citizens and tax officials, enabling citizens to easily and accurately inquire about tax name similarities. This contributes to resolving conflicts between citizens and officials and improving the business environment in the country.
This service marks the beginning of several other services to be developed in the near future, including inquiries about professions, companies, and corporate clearance certificates. These services will accelerate tax procedures and reduce bureaucracy, making it easier for citizens to perform their tax transactions efficiently and effectively.
Government officials affirmed that this step reflects the country’s commitment to developing digital infrastructure and improving the quality of services provided to citizens, as part of the government’s vision for digital transformation across all sectors.
