Iraq is preparing to submit its third voluntary report on sustainable development for 2025 to the United Nations during the High-Level Political Forum meetings scheduled for next July.
The report will review the progress made towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on the role of the private sector as a key partner in achieving these goals. The private sector is considered a central element in supporting development efforts and enhancing economic and social sustainability in the country.
During the national consultation session with the private sector representatives, the first voluntary report for 2019 and the second for 2021 were reviewed, With wide international interest. The session also discussed the key points included in these reports, as well as highlighted the achievements of the private sector in the field of sustainable development.
The Osoul organization for Economic and Sustainable development participated in this session, emphasizing the importance of the private sector’s role in supporting national strategies and enhancing integration with government efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
