A group of business leaders convened at the Osoul Organization for Economic Development and Sustainable Growth, in a meeting chaired by Mr. Khalid Al-Jabri, President of the Organization, and attended by Mr. Haider Al-Omran, President of the Baghdad Council for Digital Transformation and Electronic Payments.
The meeting focused on key challenges facing Iraq’s commercial sector, particularly in areas related to customs, taxation, investment law, and industrial development. Attendees discussed potential solutions and mechanisms to streamline procedures for investors and entrepreneurs.
The participants agreed to establish a joint mechanism to address these obstacles and review decisions that directly affect commercial activity. Preparations are also underway to hold an expanded workshop with prominent business leaders, private sector representatives, and decision-makers. The goal is to openly present issues and produce practical recommendations that will contribute to improving the business environment and promoting national economic growth.
