Osoul Foundation for Economic Development and Sustainable Development held a specialized discussion session on the state of the Iraqi economy—the first of five planned sessions—bringing together a distinguished group of economic experts and academics, alongside professionals with international experience in global and local financial institutions.
The session was attended by Mr. Basim Al-Ghurabi, Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, as well as a distinguished group of prominent media professionals recognized for their role in hosting programs and discussions that have contributed to raising important economic issues and providing the Iraqi public with informed and objective perspectives.
On the sidelines of the session, the Foundation officially launched the Iraq Economic Observatory, a platform bringing together leading local and international economic experts to monitor and analyze economic and financial developments in Iraq and produce data, research, and policy papers based on rigorous scientific and professional analysis.
The launch of the Observatory reflects the Foundation’s commitment to contributing to efforts to address the current economic challenges and crisis, while proposing practical and actionable solutions that can help establish sustainable policies and foundations for revitalizing the Iraqi economy and strengthening its capacity for future growth.
