A delegation from the Osoul Organization for Economic Development and Sustainable Development, headed by Mr. Khalid Al-Jabri and accompanied by Mr. Badr Riad, Executive Director of the Baghdad Council for Digital Transformation and Electronic Payment in Iraq, and Mr. Atheer Al-Zubaidi, Government Relations Officer at the Foundation, had the honor of meeting with His Excellency Lieutenant General Karim Al-Tamimi, Head of the Counter-Terrorism Service.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to apply legal standards and modern tax accounting mechanisms, in addition to reviewing the importance of the first National Tax Conference, scheduled to be held on August 25, 2025, under the slogan “Taxes for Economic Development and Investment Environment Stimulation,” and what it represents as an important step to enhance transparency and support the business environment in Iraq.
The meeting also discussed new technical tools that would increase institutional efficiency and emphasized the central role of the Counter-Terrorism Service in supporting national efforts to develop resources, in addition to its primary mission of combating terrorism and outlaw groups.
The attendees expressed their great pride in the Iraqi security agencies, which represent a safety valve for the homeland, and their vital role in promoting stability, which supports community development.
