Quick Survey Tracks Trends in Iraq’s Business Environment
The Iraq Business Trends Survey and Indicators provides a rapid snapshot of recent trends in Iraq’s business environment and economic activity, highlighting varying levels of stability and change across a number of indicators that warrant continued monitoring.
The survey is part of the ongoing efforts of Osoul Organization for Economic and Sustainable Development to regularly monitor the business environment and capture the views of business leaders and private-sector stakeholders on economic developments and the challenges facing businesses in Iraq.
The survey collected the views of 200 business and private-sector leaders. Following an in-depth review and analysis of the responses and findings, the study identified 110 key results and indicators that best reflect the main trends emerging from the survey.
These findings provide a rapid assessment of business sentiment, economic activity, key challenges facing companies, and several dimensions of Iraq’s broader business environment.
The survey is not intended merely as a snapshot of current conditions. Rather, it aims to establish a regular monitoring tool for tracking changes in business sentiment and trends, allowing results to be compared over time and helping policymakers and private-sector stakeholders identify signals that require attention.
