Osoul Participates in LPMM3 Conference

Osoul Foundation Participates in the Third Pharmaceutical Media Conference (LPMM3)

The Osoul Foundation for Economic and Sustainable Development, represented by Mr. Khalid Al-Jabri, participated in the Third Pharmaceutical Media Conference (LPMM3). Discussions focused on the economic challenges facing the healthcare sector in particular and the economy in general, as well as ways to enhance the sector’s role in creating jobs and improving service quality.

During his participation, Al-Jabri emphasized that harnessing the potential of young people should be a key priority in developing the healthcare sector. Young people should not be viewed merely as job seekers, but as productive assets who can be empowered to deliver a range of healthcare services.

He also proposed the possibility of restructuring part of the government’s operational expenditure and directing it more efficiently towards purchasing services and supporting service providers. This approach could help create new jobs, empower young healthcare professionals, and address some of the existing gaps in healthcare services.

He further stressed the importance of creating a more enabling environment for young people by facilitating access to finance, simplifying licensing and regulatory procedures, and reducing bureaucratic burdens and compliance costs. This would allow the private sector and youth-led initiatives to play a greater role in delivering healthcare services.

This vision aligns with the Osoul Foundation’s efforts to reform the business environment and expand private-sector participation by reducing regulatory burdens, simplifying procedures, and strengthening financial inclusion. These priorities were highlighted in the Foundation’s economic presentation delivered at the conference.

The presentation also emphasized that addressing economic challenges should not be limited to increasing revenues or tax collections. Instead, efforts should focus on broadening the formal economic base and stimulating investment and employment.
