Osoul Engages Youth in Business and Finance

Dialogue Session Raises Youth Awareness of the First Steps into Business and Finance

Mr. Khalid Al-Jabri, President of the Osoul Foundation for Economic and Sustainable Development, led a dialogue session for a group of young people as part of the Youth Linkage Program. The session aimed to introduce participants to the first steps towards entering the labor market and the world of business, highlighting the key challenges and risks they may face when establishing businesses and working with partners.

The discussion addressed the importance of organizing ownership rights among partners and distinguishing between business ownership, management roles, and each party’s authority. It also introduced the concepts of private and public ownership, as well as ownership transfer mechanisms and the entities legally authorized to dispose of assets.

The session further emphasized the importance of clearly defining ownership shares and their value from the outset, and establishing legal and regulatory agreements that protect partners’ rights and help prevent future disputes.

This session is part of the Youth Linkage Program, implemented by the Ishtar Center for Democracy Support in partnership with the British Council, with the aim of raising youth awareness and preparing them for active participation in the labor market and the economy.
