Release of Issue Two of IEO — Iraq Economic Observatory
The Osoul Foundation for Economic Development and Sustainable Development (OESD) has released Issue 2 of IEO brief weekly report, for 30 October – 4 November 2026, which includes:
• Black-market dollar in Baghdad: IQD 168,200 per USD 100, 10.7% above the official rate.
• Food prices: basket up 16.4%; imported rice at IQD 3,012 per kg.
• Generator amperes: IQD 12,000 in Baghdad and 13,000 in Kirkuk.
• 2027 budget: spending of about IQD 217 trillion; extraordinary session to approve it.
• Council of Ministers: 50,000 m³ of kerosene supplied to the Kurdistan Region.
• Recommendation: weekly transfer-time indicator targeting five working days.
