Today, Tuesday, the Minister of Finance, Ms. Taif Sami, received Dr. Abdul Hussein al-Anbaki, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Tax Reform, in a meeting also attended by Mr. Khalid al-Jabari, Member of the Higher Committee for Implementing Tax Reform and President of the Osoul Foundation for Economic Development and Sustainable Development. During the meeting, they discussed the reform measures outlined in the government programme and reviewed the steps required to modernize the tax administration.

‏Ms. Sami emphasized the importance of close collaboration between the Ministry of Finance and the Committee to enhance the tax system, improve transparency and efficiency in revenue collection, and address the challenges facing the tax sector. She underlined the need to adopt mechanisms that simplify procedures and affirmed the imperative of digitizing all functions—whether tax-related, revenue-related, or expenditure-related—given its crucial impact on the economic landscape.

‏For his part, Dr. al-Anbaki delivered a detailed briefing on the Committee’s progress and future plans, commending the Ministry’s ongoing support and commitment to the reform agenda.
